CHILD CARE

Please note that no official arrangements have been made for child care during the Congress. Please check with the hotel you are staying at who may be able to assist you further with babysitting services during your stay.

COMMUNICATION

All communication with registered delegates will be by email wherever an email address is provided, or by fax. INSURANCE

Registration fees do not include insurance of any kind. It is strongly recommended that all delegates take out their own travel and medical insurance prior to coming to the Congress. The policy should include loss of fees/deposit through cancellation of your participation in the Congress, or through cancellation of the Congress itself, loss of airfares for any reason, medical expenses, loss or damage to personal property, additional expenses and repatriation should travel arrangements have to be altered. Neither UDIA, the Congress Secretariat or the Organising Committee will take any responsibility for any participant failing to insure. Please speak to your travel agent or airline in regard to this matter.

MEALS

All tea breaks and lunches will be served amongst the exhibition. The organisers recognise that some delegates may have special dietary needs. Please advise the Congress Secretariat either via the registration form or in writing should you wish for them to make alternative arrangements on your behalf. Requirements advised less than 72 hours prior to the commencement of the Congress cannot be guaranteed. Please note some dietary requirements may incur additional charge

PRIVACY STATEMENT

In registering for the UDIA 2012 Congress relevant details may be incorporated into a delegate list for the benefit of all delegates, sponsors, exhibitors, UDIA, EECW Pty Ltd and other parties directly related to the Congress. Should you wish for your details not to be included in this list, please tick the privacy requested box on the registration form.

PUBLIC TRANSPORT

Perth is connect by a network of road and rail lines operated by the Public Transport Authority. Complimentary City Area Transit buses (referred to as the CAT service) operate frequently within the CBD. Passengers can hop on and off with ease and explore what the city has to offer.

SMOKING POLICY

The Perth Convention and Exhibition Centre has a strict no smoking policy. This policy also applies to the majority of restaurants, bars and shopping centres in Perth.

VISAS

International visitors to Australia require a Visa or an electronic travel authority. It is your responsibility to ensure documentation is correct and complete before you commence your journey. Information on obtaining visas or ETA's can be found on the web site - www.eta.immi.gov.au

VISITORS TO PERTH

Perth Airport is the international and regional gateway to Western Australia. Located only 12 km north east from the heart of Perth, shuttle buses operate between the airports, Perth city and Fremantle. Hire cars and taxis are easily available. As a general guide, taxi charges (AUD) from the international & domestic airports are $40 or $30 respectively
