We are delighted to bring you the 2012 Partners Program which we ensure is both fun and interesting. In addition to the activities planned we have two VIP functions to which you have a personal invitation and to which you can bring a delegate of your choice.
Swan Valley Wine Experience
9.15am – 4.30pm
Today we take a leisurely cruise along the beautiful Swan River to the Swan Valley winery region. Sample local wines and gourmet food and have a shot at making your own wine, before returning to your hotel to prepare for the Welcome Reception at the State Reception Centre, Kings Park. The Swan Valley winery tour is also open to delegates as an alternative to the sporting activities. If an active day is what you prefer, opt in to the cycling, golf or sailing.
Keynote Address & Morning Tea
8.30am – 10.00am
Wednesday is the first day of speaker sessions and you are most welcome to attend the opening keynote address with the Hon Jeff Kennett AC, former Premier of Victoria. Following this, join the VIP morning tea with senior members of UDIA National and State councils along with a number of the Congress presenters. You will have the opportunity to meet other partners attending the Congress.
Perth Streets – Walking tour of your host city
11.00am – 2.00pm
Following morning tea you will commence a walking tour of Perth both on, but mainly off, the tourist track. This information-packed two hour guided walk takes you through the heart of Perth with a friendly “Sandgroper” as your guide. Explore the Central Business District, and hear about the history, heritage, culture and architecture of the city. You will discover the evolving small bar scene and little known, out of the way places. The tour takes time for a leisurely lunch at the Cheeky Sparrow, one of Perth’s new breed of cafes.
Afternoon at leisure.
A Night at the Museum
7.00pm – 10.30pm
Set in the heart of the Perth Cultural Precinct in Northbridge, this event is the perfect way to experience the many facets of Western Australian life from our history and culture to the bustling nightlife. The Cultural Precinct is undergoing a program of revitalisation that is totally transforming the inner city. You will be treated to a truly multi-cultural experience which is uniquely Northbridge.
Sculptures by the Sea
Sculptures by the Sea is an annual event where over 70 local, interstate and international artists transform Perth’s most popular beach into a stunning sculpture park overlooking the Indian Ocean. Afternoon tea will be at one of Perth’s funkiest restaurants, overlooking Cottesloe Beach and the sparkling green waters of the Indian Ocean.
Evening at leisure.
